Leigh has been a chronic pain sufferer of 7/10 pain for the last 30 years with; severe endometriosis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and IBS. In 2004 she wanted to die because she couldn't do another 30 years of this pain and or tolerate the very un lady like symptoms anymore! After seeing every medical specialist in Perth and London with no success she changed to other options.
After 4 years with a nutritionist and natropath the explosive diarrhoea stopped, the bloating was much reduced, she could wear leggings with an elastic band without passing out in agony, and could go to new places without anxiety and panic that a toilet would not be available! She then found evidence on a new synthetic pill much better for endometriosis, called Visanne. After showing her local GP the evidence, she still wouldn't prescribe it. |
So she paid the extra money to see a Gynaecologist who prescribed it before she could even ask, after listening to all her symptoms!!! Then Leigh did some more research and found out about the great results from natural progesterone from Dr Dan Purser and his great book. All her endometriosis symptoms went away, she started sleeping for the first time in 20 years and is starting to feel more normal! She also started some spiritual counselling with Angela Hyrniuk, including inner child therapy with the unconscious mind and study in correct ethical processes, wisdom and discipline of the mind with Buddhist philosophy. That was 4 years ago and her pain is now around 2/10 at present. She noticed that most of her clients suffering from jaw and migraines also had a lot of the same conditions as she did. Now living the healing pathway out of chronic pain herself, she is excited to help guide others, now that she is certified in; mindfulness, meditation and inner child with the unconscious mind with correct ethical processes taught in the Buddhist philosophy.
Leigh completed her degree in Physiotherapy in 2001 at Curtin University, and has worked predominately in private practice in both Australia and the United Kingdom (Harley Street).
Leigh is well known for her interest and experience treating headaches, migraines and jaw pain. Leigh pioneered her techniques in TMD/Jaw dysfunction on Harley Street when she was working in London in 2008.
Her background in Martial arts (Kung Fu & Mauy thai) allowed her to experience jaw pain first hand, where she received an upper cut that locked her jaw for 3 days, just before one of her verbal Physio Exams!! So she was always very motivated to find out more about TMD/jaw dysfunction.
Leigh is a Expert Physiotherapist in TMD (temporomandibular dysfunction)/Jaw pain (TMJ), Headaches, Migraines and neck pain & upper limb nerve entrapment (pins and needles in the arms and hands).
